Silicon Sensing offers a range of silicon MEMS inertial sensors and systems suitable for all applications where performance, ruggedness and reliability are of prime importance.

Most recently, to cater for the increasing demand within the space sector, Silicon Sensing has designed a new product especially for space and satellite applications – the RMU30. The RMU30 takes three of the company’s highest-performance CRH02 MEMS gyroscopes and, coupled with bespoke software, DMU30packages them in a small 50mm3 housing that offers the small satellite and space market a rugged, high-performance, low-cost and low-power (<1w) rate sensor pack. The RMU30 will be on display at Silicon Sensing Systems’ stand 4033 throughout the show.

Silicon Sensing’s full portfolio also contains DMU30. This flagship high-performance Inertial Measurement Unit is already found in space applications, and offers performance matching some fibre optic gyro (FOG)-based systems – but at a fraction of the size, weight and cost. At the heart of the DMU30 again lies the CRH02 high-performance MEMS gyroscope. And at the heart of CRH02 is Silicon Sensing’s most advanced MEMS sensor head, which itself has also been selected for space application due to its compact size (10mm3) and high performance.
